Morning gang
Throbbo is the sentiment of today, had a nice gentlly technical ride over the chase yesterday, and even used the Black forest which has stood redundant for a while. Nearly back at the car when I decided to repeat my newly found ability to bunny hop. This time however my foot slipped of the pedal and the peddal spun round to clock me square in the shin, 3 seconds later its like an egg on my leg. My mate, and Mrs G are adamant that I might have cracked the bone, but I cant be ar5ed with hanging around hospitals for an x-ray for what I think is a bruise. This said I've woke up this morning and it does hurt a bit to put weight on it, so any medical advice would be welcomly received
Anyway on a pllus point, last day at work for a week, off to welshland tommorrow, woo hoo

Morning all,
Jay, don't be surprised if someone else reopens the shop under a different name, there's hope yet.
Day off today, going to see a play at the eldest's school. Currently watching Monsters Inc with the little 1, then might have to venture out into the chill.
Is it...... Well, whenever yet?"I ride to eat"0 -
Hi All,
Working from home for a few hours today then off over to sunny Beverley for a meeting at 3pm.
The highlight of the day will be a evening spin on the bike around Hayfield - best check that the lights are charged up!!
Porridge & coffee have already been dealt with...0 -
As a fellow paper boy, I know how bad that must suck Jay! we should have a MTB'ing PB's Conglomerate or summin.

Woke up this morning (barely) feeling like the night goblins have filled my head with cotton wool and snot to quite a high pressure. Joy!

Cold is gone! The combination of huge vitamin c tablets, parecetamol, huge amounts of garlic, chili and black pepper in everything I've cooked and linghams garlic chilli and ginger sauce on top seem to have worked.
I've also discovered the calming effects of bike maintenance on children. Eldests tantrum was stopped dead by the offer of letting her put the rotors on the red metals. Centrelock, so simple even a 6 year old can do it! She also put the tubes and tyres on, so maybe there's hope yet.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

So that's why Andy has them...0 -
Had a interesting night last night apart from working late and takeing work home with me, the wifes friend texts hes saying can i pop round i have a propsition for you?
So he pops round and offers for us to buy his half of his house off him (he's going through a divorce) and rent ours out. so we move into his big place, give him 10k to pay off his ex and continue the mortgage etc? so in theory we have two houses but own one but if he decides to sell his one we take half the profit? does that make sense?
any whoooo
brrrrrrrrrr0 -

Sounds easy, but brain says messy with tax and other implications (tax on your rental income, capital gains when you sell the second house etc.)
Also somebody elses advice - never let property out to friends or family. What happens if your friend decides he can't/won't pay the rent?Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Yeah wouldn't rent to a friend, he's moving back to parents so was going to go through a garunteed estate programe?
Didn't think of tax so that's a good point to consider0 -
I'm bloody tired today.
Went into uni for 9, aced a 90 minute test in under 30 minutes (already checked the answers, I did well) and now I'm back at home. I have to go back for labs at 2.
I'm thinking that it may well be bacon o'clock.0 -

If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -

Yes Jay, newsagents are government funded services. You keep believing that.0 -

In fairness to Jay, our local one is, because it's also a Post Office. Granted they are going to be "saved" by our wonderous Government*, but that's not the point...
*Yes, I am being sarcastic.0 -
Need to go get some new hubs and rotors today. Broke both trying to get the centrelock system to work :?0

Disaster!
We have no brown sauce. Do I go out and buy some before my bacon sandwich, or go without?0 -

Go without, the flavour of the bacon should not be tarnished with such peasant condiments!0 -

Either naked or with brown is your choice. Put Tomato sauce on however and I'll personally come and stab you with a broken vodka bottle0 -
Tomato's not an option, despite the many bottles we have.
It's going to be naked, and I'll buy more brown later.0 -
