In the past I've used Topeak extenders, now I buy tubes with 80mm valve stems. Planet X do 'em.0

Personally I prefer to use tubes with longer stems - currently using 80mm threaded ones - I use the lockrings to stop the bloody things rattling in the wheels (Mavic SLRs). I've never been comfortable with the idea of valve extenders - more chance of air escaping etc.0

sorry, this is for tubs not clinchers0

Oh, i dont think the ones i'm after come with them...

My understanding is that Vittoria and Conti use a different thread and hence don't fit on oneanother's tubs...

Dunno - I fitted Conti extenders on my Conti tubs, just to be on the safe side !0 -
as i said.... do a search... i explained the difference in extenders required between high end vittorias, cheap vittorias and cheap contis on another thread... I don't know about dear continentals.
liinks to pictures & wiggle are in there.
can't be arsed repeating myself0 -
If you're buying the tubs there, Planet X do extenders as well and they're very helpful with advice, drop them an email.0

thanks guys, appreciate the help.
i tried a search but unfortunately you can't just search on topic title text, so if you search for 'valve extenders' you get loads of useslss threads!0 -

Vittoria Ultralite tubes are available with 51mm valves. And the valve cores are replaceable.0

i use a 50mm red planet x extender on 50mm vittoria rvc ultralite tubes with my HED jet 60 front, no problems at all with those, dont forget the PTFE tape and better a bit long than a bit short .. .0
