Have to say I am very pleased with their service! Booked them through parcelmonkey.co.uk to come pick up my frame, only cost £6.50! I asked them to collect between 2 and 5pm, as I had uni this morning.

They have just turned up now, I was expecting them to turn up at like 9 this morning, as they say the time you state is only an approximation of when they will turn up. The chap that picked it up was nice, even signed and date my receipt thing which has not be done with other couriers.

That is all really, I was just pleasantly surprised by their service :)

Lucky you, round these parts they are rank 1 tosspots. It's literally 50/50 chance whether the driver will muster the effort to get off his arse, out the van and attempt to deliver a parcel or just flag it as "no one home, card left".

Well I have experience their delivery before, and I only have positive things to say. I am only talking like a few times here though, so not dealt with them very much.
  • Personally I hate City Link, I've never sent anything with them before though, only received.

If you miss their delivery - god help you in getting your goods, the quickest option is usually the 100 mile round trip to my nearest depot!

I've sent three frames through city link, via parcel monkey now. Not one single problem, and as you say at £6.50 a pop, not to be sniffed at!

Parcel monkey are a bargain, but city link leave alot to be desired. I gave the driver a hand once when I was sending a few things ( a bike, forks, wheel,) and whilst I was stood at the back of the van holding the bike box he was literally throwing stuff around in the van to make room!

I think the receipt the driver has to sign is a parcelmonkey thing rather than a city link thing. I still use them as they're dirt cheap, just make sure things are packaged so that chances of anything getting damaged are negated.

Was that a solo effort or did you all get together and think of the least funny name you could come up with?

Cant say I've had a problem with CityLink, they've always been good for me, but then I am lucky the depot is about 2 miles away. I tell them to leave stuff in the bin cupboard and they do, I tell them to leave it with neighbours and they do. Even when it goes back to the depot, they have the truck back by the time I finish work so can collect it easily that night.

I think its all pot luck over who your local driver is and how far away the depot is. I have the same with Royal Mail as they are around the corner, but ParcelForce tend to be a PITA for me, as do DPD.

The last time I used city link they delivered my parcel to the wrong address and refused to rectify their mistake. Eventually got it sorted but still :x

It's a bit of banter. If you can't take something that mild you might be better off...
