Anyone else on here with Tiscali / Talk Talk email? I can't log on to my email (same with the wife's account) as it says unable to find the server but also shows the inbox as 100% full - is anyone else getting this?

Mine is ok.
Try their helpline.0 -
I was with Talk Talk Onetel for years and have a Tiscali account too (now Talk Talk). Their servers are regularly troublesome. Lately, their (Tiscali, at least) mail servers have been causing problems. Moved away from their broadband service. A good move IMHO.0

I'm not with them as my ISP anymore but when I left they did say the accounts would always remain open. Joe, were you originally Tiscali? It may be that the Tiscali server is down but not the others :?0

I had them as an ISP for a bit a while back and kept the email address when I left but since they did a big update about a month back to the webmail service it's always very slow at best and sometimes completely unusable. Tried to open it up lastnight and the page would just hang. Luckily I don't use it for anything important.0

Yes I'm with Talk Talk / Tiscali and yes I've been having problems with email - often failing to connect and has twice now has resent several hundred old emails to my inbox  Not to mention the usual rubbish that you take for granted from them - slow broadband speed, poor customer service, interruptions to tv (green screen. pixellation) etc etc. They are officially Sh!t. :x [/code]Cannondale Supersix / CAAD9 / Boardman 9.0 / Benotto 30000

Funnily enough, I was talking to a colleague today who is on Tiscali and said the same. I had Tiscali some years ago and it was nothing but trouble. I'm on BT now and have had nothing but excellent service.Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

If you ever have any Talktalk problems, by far the best way to resolve them is by posting in their Members Forum. The phone helplines are a complete waste of time, but the forums have quickly resolved any problems I've had, as there are not only TT staff on there, but also loads of helpful members too.0

Nowhere near as good as signing up with another ISP. Bye bye penalty for not using direct debit - bye bye frequent outages - bye bye mail server problems (on average once a month) - bye bye Talk Talk.0 -
Well, I've been very happy with TT, and since it costs me absolutely nothing for a 6Mbps service, I'm not complaining. I suspect all ISPs have problems from time to time - it's how they deal with problems that makes all the difference. The TT forums are good.
The problem is that we all have got so used to always-on superfast broadband that we feel lost when it goes off for even a brief time. I cast myself back to when I was young: no phone till I was 15, no mobiles, no computers, not even teletext. And that was just 35 years ago. You had to have patience.
I suspect that for each person who has changed from one ISP to another, there's another who has gone in the opposite direction, and each will be saying how much better the service is with the new ISP.0 -

Not really. There is a limit up here. Thing is, TalkTalk (Onetel) said it was 2meg (though they only managed 1.5meg at best) and it turns out to be 8meg. TalkTalk tried to charge for the two dial up connections I had to make when their broadband was down for three days (not the first time and not really a brief time) - plus a charge for not having direct debit (which had been cancelled due to transfer). A few pointers about breach of contract persuaded them to shift their stance.
TalkTalk may be better in LLU areas, but there are many complaints about their mail servers. I was with Onetel for eleven years. They only started going downhill when the Carphone Warehouse mob took over.0 -

All sorted now thanks, it sorted itself out so must have been a server problem.0

We are in the process of transferring the Tiscali email pages to the new TalkTalk email pages. Please be reassured that your Tiscali email address will remain unchanged. During this move a small number of customers may encounter some disruption to their email service, including delays in receiving some emails and problems logging into some email accounts. If you are affected, we apologise for any inconvenience, we are working to resolve this as a priority and the move will be completed by October 31st.
That would be fine if the problems logging into email accounts was a new phenomenon.0 -
Never had a major problem with Tiscali until TalkTalk took over and it's getting worse and worse.
We have the TV too and it keeps conking out. I think they have big network issues. Am now scrapping them after they signed me up to an 18 month contract with absolutely no input from me. Hate to do it but Sky beckons. Tiscali TV was dirt cheap when it started and is no longer competitive.0
