Finally got the bike !
As I wont get the chance to do this again for a while I've gone for a white \ blue theme and the following extras:
Hope pro 2 wheels set - custom white rims
Cateye strada in white


DMR V12's in white


Pimp my pedal kit in blue


Thompson post


Thompson stem


Hope floating rotors - blue


Easton monkey lite bars


KCNC Jockey wheels


Jagwire gear cables in blue

EXotic carbon bar ends


Fizik Gobi saddle


Hope head doctor - blue

two of these - 900 lumen each

one of thse thingys, remote 110 decibel movement alarm secured to ground anchor, fortress chain and arwoured wire rope.


At the moment its just a shiny new bike and a pile of bits, will post a pic of the final outcome before it gets all covered in mud !

Ok, the bike has arrived !

Having ridden it back from the shop, my first observations are that it feels more 'twitchy' than the Evo 8 was, and also with it being a steel frame stones seem a lot louder when 'pinging' off the downtube. crudcatcher asap I think......
Arrived home to find the first pile of shiny bits on the doorstep

Exotic carbon bar ends added - these are suprisingly slippery, hope my hands dont slip off them - also feels quite flexy with the carbon bars - dont know if this is normal?

Hope head doctor and stem stackers - will upgrade the headset when funds allow.

waiting now for the next lot of bits to arrive, hope they turn up so I can get them all on before I take it out for a mudfest on Saturday!

Loving that, you got a better camera though?

I am going with blue on my white Meta, can only afford to do each bit as it requires replacement though.

Agreed, rear mech cable should have gone round the left of the steerer and into the middle cable stop on the top tube.

might want to take that up with Orange - its how it arrived from them........... :P (although I got all ocd and worried and had to check the first pic to make sure I had not cocked up.....) :oops:

Nearly all of the black Hope stuff and the Easton / Thompson gear was selected as upgrade options on the order with Orange, Its a shame you cant specify a colour at that point as the seatclamp / rotors etc would have been blue also, most of the blue bling is coming from kustombikes - a southwest dealer, and the rest from ebay.
Still waiting on a few bits and bobs to arrive including blue Hope floating rotors (the black ones will go on the road wheels) but looks like it will get to see mud before the postie arrives with them

will get some proper pics with a good camera once its all done.

Blue jockey wheels make me go faster........

thought it was about time for an update, all the current kit has been running well, so treated it to a clean for some clearer pictures, bought myself a blue kmc chain for extra tartyness.








and yes.....I know my TV stand's a mess.........had to get the pics done quick before my wife returned home
