54cm forks and 56cm bike

i have a trek 1.2 and want to upgrade the forks, i was looking at the Time Avant, which seem preety good but the person who was selling them said the would suit a 54cm frame.

So my question is, could i still use the 54cm fork on my 65cm bike?

sorry my bike is 56cm not 65cm

Measure the steerer on your current fork and ask the seller to measure theirs - it may be a little shorter and depends on whether you run a stack of spacers or not. You could always flip the step if you have to reduce the spacers.
