Brake Buying Advice

I've just bought a new bike with an old Magura Marta brake system.
For no other reason than their colour (red anodised) I want to ditch (sell) them and get something else.
Money's no real object. Weight saving would be. Easiness of maintenance might be.
What do I do?
Had Avid Ultimate 7s on my last bike - no complaints and have got old Hope minis on my hardtail, once again, no complaints.
Don't need amazing stopping power although if I were to go over to the Alps/Pyrenees that might be a consideration.

Having had Hopes, Avids and currently Shimano I would go for Hopes. Ease of maintenance and setup is much better than any of the others I have used but power wise they are about level pegging with my XT but much better looking.0

Thanks.
Quite like the look of the Tech M4s with Gold floating rotors.
CRC and Merlin seem to do the brakes for roughly £120 and £30 for the rotors.
Anyone know if anywhere tends to be cheaper.
Also, I know traditionally the front rotor is larger. Would it matter if they were both the same size? Say the cheaper 160mm?2012 Santa Cruz Highball Carbon 19 lbs

There are lots of bikes out there running 160's front & rear.Statistically, Six Out Of Seven Dwarves Aren't Happy0

Formula... They're selling off Ones just now which are stunning brakes.Uncompromising extremist0

You can run what ever size brakes you require up to what is warrantied on the frame and forks. If you don't need 180mm at the rear then downsize it and save on wieght as well as money.0

Formula the ones - trail bike weight and crazy stopping power and great modulation. A simple upgrade later on to bigger rotors would make them instantly alp proof.
Expensive though - /\ but if they are selling them off as above said - amazin!Lapierre Spicy 516 XTR custom (2013) -http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129323320 -
They're doing a clearout of the old model (with the old lever shape) from their factory store. Also Oro K24s for 140 euros, bargain.Uncompromising extremist0

Not much of a bargain as CRC are doing them at £125.0 -
Nope, CRC are doing one end without hardware and rotor for £125. Except that they have no stock. The 140 euros from Formula is for both ends, with rotors, hose kits and brackets. Not a bargain? Hmm.Uncompromising extremist0

For a pair that is a bargain. Strange but I really like the green Ones. With a green Mmmbop frame and some nice matching Hope items could turn out nice0

As it happens I've ended up with a spare set of Oros which may be for sale Silver, I thought they were white.Uncompromising extremist0
