Ribble Mountain bike

Just purchased through ebay an old hardtail believed to date from mid 90's, branded as a Ribble r4. The guy who sold it said he built it himself. My question is does anyone recall Ribble selling mountain bike frames in the past, or has the frame been stickered up. It is a lovely looking bike with a polished frame and shimano parts from the day with lovely Araya rims.

Any chance of some pics, and maybe try www.retrobike.co.uk , they genrally can pinpoint these things.

Ribble did sell mtb's a few years ago but I don't know much about them. They are my lbs along with merlin and hewitts.

Ribble did sell the R series of MTB frames in the 90's and they have just brought out the new MTB frame with more to come apparently:
