Replacement for my Superlight XC bike as a more 'do-it-all' bike. So far I've found it works well for Trail centre and general XC duties. Also rebuilding up a hardtail for a play bike. Started with some bit from old bikes, more recently built with SRAM X0 kit and a few tweaks.

Well I've not really done any real riding yet. Only collected the bike from the store yesterday morning and my girlfriend was working so i was at home with the little one. I built the bike up but took it to a bike shop to be checked over as i'm not overly confident yet. Done a few laps of the street and it doesn't feel too bad - will only know once i'm on some real trails tho.
I'm 6 foot and i've gone with the large based on the advice Santa Cruz give on there website.0 -
Did my first few hours riding on it yesterday and i'm pretty well impress. Pedals a lot better then i was expecting from a 150mm travel bike. Didn't really do anything major to test the extra travel over my 100mm XC bike but initial impressions are good. Need to get my head round how to tweak the shock and forks to get a bit more control from them but seen as the forks won't have even bedded in yet i'm in no rush.
Hopefully next weekend i can get out somewhere with a bit more mix of terrain and see what she's capable off.0 -
Looks nice in the green.
Homers Double races 12/24hr enduro's (and pretty much every thing else) on his Heckler.
Only issue he's had has been with the main pivot bearing bolts sheering.0 -
Nice. I like the green. Shame they don't offer that colour in the 2011 superlight. Nice one mate!Santa Cruz Hightower
