best site application for editing bik route?

Hi all,

I have a gpx file downloaded from bikely but i wish to edit the route to take in an extra hill and modify the start position. I have tried using bike route toaster/bikely and map my ride but at present the process has been like pulling teeth. Are any of the applications/sites set up to support this? Current problems being unable to enter points before the start point, i.e each point added autoroutes from the end of the course, not got on to actually modifying the course in the middle but bound to be a nightmare.

Is my only option to draw the route from scratch?

Thanks

skinny

You could try bikemap.net it's the same thing
    but you could try it.http://www.bikemap.net/
I don't think the magnet(stick to road) works on
imported maps but if you hold and drag the start point
to were you want it you can then add drag points to the
route to make your new route.

Or use on of the sites like endomondo.com that records where you went directly without having to muck about with map files.

I agree if you've got a gps phone or garmin, endomondo looks good.
Hopefully getting a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 this week :D:D:D so i'll be giving endomondo a go.
Not had a new phone for over 5 yrs i'm like a kid waiting for chirstmas :)

Endomondo seems to favour android phones then the features trickle down to symbian (which i have), iphone, bb and eventually windows.

  • The SportyPal editor is very useful

just upload your gpx file, and you can do about everything with it, editing the start/end points and the whole track.
