First post so go easy plz :lol:

Got back into biking after 13 yrs more so to get fit, by god things have changed since the old Claud Butler days, i think suspension was just out when i had my bike :oops:

So anyway...

I got a Specialized Hardrock Pro 2010 from Dales Cycles in Glasgow

Here it is..

Then i bought some things nothing major YET :wink:

Crud Catchers, Saddle bag, computer, bottle & cage

with the goodies attached.

Plans... nothing major new tyres, Reba's & i think thats about it....until something brakes....i'm no slim Jim nor experienced DH so everyday is a new learning curve....i managed to replace and centre the front disc yesterday!

Site is fantastic it was a friend who put me onto it, some great advice and tips too.

    great. bike looks great and it's good to see that your planned upgrades are well thought out. also better wheels make a big difference

    i`d ditch the reflectors unless you`re planning on using it on the road

    Nothing major? - Rebas are pretty major, approx 1/2 the cost of the new bike.

    Why replace the disc?

    When your a fat bloke you need something more substantial lol.

    The disc was rubbing against the pads slightly i called dales who said they would send a new one up, turns out it just need centred again. :D So i now have a spare.

    That's good service....

    Rebas will prob not be stronger then your current forks - better yes, stronger, prob not.

    Nice looking bike, you will get great service from Dales. If you're looking at upgrading the fork have a look at the Tora or Recon TK Silver on Merlin Cycles, both great forks and you'll pay far less than you would for a Reba, it may be a better fork, but is it worth it for the price?
