Has anyone got an opinion of these at all?

http://www.mulebar.com/

Looking to find out what the opinion is on the best flavour out of their range of energy bars. I normally use Clif bars but fancy a change.

Thanks,

Yeah - I've had them and like them. Quite a lot to them, but for a bar, I thought they were not bad...

I had one (mango tango I think) and loved it!

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

Had a sample Liquorice arrive with something from Shutt and my mate and I both ended up buying a box of the liquorice as it made a change from the normal sweet shite.

Before anyone dismisses them have a look at the amount of carbs they offer, nothing comes as close, easy to digest and superb for energy.

I find them very hard work, to be honest. Regardless of the energy content, you need to have something on the bike that you can look forward to eating - and I find these are more of a chore than an enjoyment.
  • I've tried these and to be honest they didnt agree with my stomach!

I love Mulebars - don't use any other bar.

I often buy a mixed box, so I get all 7 flavours. Hunza nut & liquorice are my favourites, however.

They also have great customer service - they sent me a big box for free last year when all I had done was email them to query something!

nice one - now you will have all of bike radar emailing them with spurious questions, and high expectations!

I dont see how they can be described as gross, as they are like a cake bar, but each to their own I guess

I've had a few flavours and loved them all, although have yet to try the notorious liquorice... might email them with a query now and see what happens

  • I love them. The Tour of Britain Summer Pudding are good, Apple Strudel, Mango Tango, Pinacolada are all really nice. Hunza Nut a bit dry for my liking and whilst I am a liquorice fan, I don't like the liquorice flavour mule bar
  • Thanks for the feedback.

I have opted for a box of Apple Strudel flavoured bars.

Sounds like the Marmite of energy bars - love them or loathe them!

I am also in the loathe them camp, of all the bars I've tried I found these to be the hardest to eat on the move and worst tasting.
