Alright, not Paris - Roubaix.....but certainly getting towards Roubaix bib tights now! Damn cold this morning!

Saw a few people in tee shirts and shorts, but I think over the distance I do, I would be asking for an injury due to the cold!

Anyone got any kit they would like to "big up" for the winter months?

Left knee is a bit clacky and crunchy when climbing stairs at the moment, so my roubaix bib tights came out yesterday. Mmmmm, toasty warm.

Not yet, still shorts and kneewarmers. Quads were cold last night though, may have been the reason for my epic lack of power.

Full length came on this morning for the first time, but largely because my 3/4 length thermals weren't clean.

The full finger gloves are likely to come on next week.

A mate in Helsinki said this morning that there's ice on the road already. Bugger. That.

I'm on 3/4's now and long sleeves I'm also currently rocking my autumnal gloves.. full fingered but not super warm. It's been fecking chilly in the mornings this week, the wind and rain turned it down another notch this morning too

I didn't think you felt cold. I thought cold felt you.

  • Was about 7 degrees when I left this morning, so I was in shorts and a long-sleeve jersey, I arrived slightly too cold. Wednesday and Thursday were 4 degrees, so I tried my new NorthWave tights and was slightly too warm both times.

It's the time of year I never manage to get it right.
