Please recommend me a helmet camera

Hi,
I'm interested in getting a helmet camera, partly to film my numerous routes into work and partly in case I'm in an accident and need some evidence.
Can anyone recommend a decent, inexpensive solution?

I know nothing about cameras, but saw this link this morning.

I think it mentioned being attached to a helmet0 -
GoPro without question.
I tried something cheaper beforehand & it didn't really workout. The GoPro is excellent though and you see them cropping up everywhere now. Top Gear uses them and broadcasts footage on TV from them, so you can't argue with that.0 -
I can't find the link no matter what I search for, but someone on this site put up a link for a very cheap HD camera. It was a US site, something crazy like $20 plus postage, a little black rectangular device. The website had a video demo taken by an english motorbike rider. Anyone know which one I mean?0

Thing is, they're cracking for the money, but are rubbish in anything other than bright light. I've borrowed one for trails through woods and night riding and they're rubbish for that. If you commute in daylight hours then one may be ok. Remember you also need a micro SD memory card, so with a 4GB card it'll work out around £20 - 25. Still cheap as chips for a punt, but the bad light performance for me was key.

I have four of these, they are superb, they record for just over an hour on the battery you do need a micro sd card they take upto 8GB also on ebay (buy decent cards from good dealers, I use Kingston).
The 8GB cards store approximately 5 hours of vids, these also take stills, believe me the quality is in fact superb.
GET IT
Anyone who spends more than £10 on a camera and card these days is living in the past, do not underestimate the quality of this camers.
They are available for less in fact, just look up spy camera and I always buy from abroad, also they (and the pen which I have and keyfob) are ideal for recording meetings with the DSS, bank and anyone really you may want to refer back to the conversation one day, and NO it is NOT illegal. It is only illegal if you intend to use the video for something such as blackmail.Peds with ipods, natures little speed humps

By the way if you want quality Maplin do a good metal one.
As for fitting the cam, I have found that 1" of strong velcro rough side on the side of the helmet and smooth on the camera is fine, in fact they are so cheap you can also have one facing back.
You also get a dashboard mount and another magnetic, I have a camera on the rear view mirror, in the car also so if ever in an accident not your fault can be used as evidence, also one in back window, total £12...................................+ £12 for mem cards.
Playback simple as they are AVI, also easy to edit in Pinnacle studio.Peds with ipods, natures little speed humps
