hey guys just wondered if anyone could shed any light on this trail. It seems from the map here http://northwalesmtb.proboards.com/inde ... thread=284
that there are 2 loops. I'm going to do the trail tomorrow afternoon but I'm not sure what time I'm gonna get there so I'm unsure if I'll have time for the whole thing.
What I was wondering is if I decide to do just one loop, which would be the better of the two, descent wise?
cheers

The second loop breaks away from the first loop, so, in effect, loop 1 is just the trail with a shortcut, loop2+loop1 is the entire trail
BUT, it's closed this weekend for the Cambrian rally.0 -
cheers mate thanks for that. yeah I saw it was shut but it said it was Saturday so I assumed Friday would be ok. What do you reckon to the Marin then? I heard it was a bit boring, looks like I'm gonna find out. I know there's other stuff nearby but have mates coming down Friday night for the weekend and already have Coed Y Brenin planned for Sat and LLangdegla for Sunday. Bloody rally, as usual my timing is outstanding...0

Did Penmachno this week... Very nice. Very wet! Some very nice riding, taps into the kirroughtree red vein for most of it but you find yourself thinking "where are the descents" then you reach the end and suddenly descending occurs in great quantities As far as I recall the signs said it was only closed for the weekend.Uncompromising extremist0

Not sure if "weekend" included Firday, but I guess it might, so that the safety teams could mark out the run-off areas and things like that.0

Personally I found Marin a bit dull. quite a lot of climbing. Would not go out of my way to do it. Brennin is much more fun.0
