Good Morning Freaks!
El Capitano

Today, I appear to be a battered and bruised El Capitano. Rode Cwm Carn with Homers Double yesterday, but pretty much sucked all the way round (that’s on the bike…) Dunno why really, thought it might just be ‘heavy legs’ after the weekend’s ride and the two days of commuting, but no matter how much sugar/drink/cake/food I consumed, there was still nothing there.
Feel much worse today. Everything aches. Moreso than after a 24hr enduro race.
I think I may have contracted a severe case of worms. Current research suggests that the only was to rid yourself of this chronic illness is to surround yourself with titanium items. I obviously don’t have enough, so will have to purchase some more.
Still, on the plus side, it looks like Parcelfarce tried to deliver my Ti springs yesterday whilst I was out, so I’ll be collecting them from the postie office on Saturday morning.
The rest of the day will be spent consuming vast amounts of coffee and bacon.

Anyway just had a lovely lie in, which was much needed, then I am straight up and out to go shopping with my mummy. Not a usual occurence but she wants to buy me my birthday present for next month so who am I to argue, and theres a Nando's thrown in for good measure, I think I shall have to hae a pastel de nata too
Then afterwards a swing round the car dealers, Mrs G's punto is almost dead and I'm not throwing any more cash at it, I've owned it from new its dented, worn out and scratched, time for a new motor for her, but without spending too much. seen a 57 plate matiz with next to no miles on it for 3k, that shes keen on, so I'm off to check that out0 -
Just been to the doctors, no more pills for my neck. I can also move my head from side to side now which is even better.
Lots of work but very little meh on the horizon!Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Morning all,
After getting home last night with some rather purple knees, decided to break out the ¾’s and L/S top for today, much cosier. By the time I get home today that’ll be just over 100 miles since Saturday, if I can do that every week I’ll be happy.
Just finished off a pack of biccies and I’m still hungry, bad times.
On a plus note, it looks like we will be getting our annual bonus in this month’s pay, arriving at a bank near me tomorrow! Sadly it looks like it will be going on my car insurance and maybe my new glasses that I need, curses to my silly broken eyeballs, £300ish just so I don’t walk into things.
Is it 5 yet?"I ride to eat"0 -
yeah! i get to go to toys r us for my nephews birthday present, a bat man suit.
so i shall be having a good mooch around the lego section too.
+ coffee
+ hoping my copy of medal of honor lands on the door mat today, but the mixed reviews are bothering me, i thought it was going to be orrsum.
+ coffee0 -
I have man flu. Therefore i will spend the entire day buzzing around this here forum, in a bad mood. so be prepared.
also, i am skint, this angers me, as i wish to buy shiny-shiny for my bicycle.
and due to said man flu i am unable to go and ride the newly finished trail near my house, this has made me very, very sad.
Bacon, is called for.I like bikes and stuff0 -

Internet FTW, I order my old mans from Selectspecs and he's on a very strong prescription. He's currently wearing a pair of armani ultra light jobs that would have cost nearly £400 from vision express, cost him £139.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Don't usually post in here, but today is full of meh.
LBS have offered to get me a Tricross in to try. I know if I see it in the flesh I won't be able to not buy it.
Any advice on what size, I have never been fitted for a bike but simply ride what is comfortable. My Roadie is a 58cm and it feels right, but I was thinking of getting a size smaller for the CX, am I being foolish?Northwind wrote: It's like I covered it in superglue and rode it through ebay.0 -
In work... Just had my daily chocomilk
Still waiting for my frame... Might give them a call tomorrow if there is no sign of it to make sure there are no problems!0 -

Just had a look, their prescriptions go down to -15, my eyes are more like -20 and -21. Again, curses to my silly broken eyeballs."I ride to eat"0 -

My CX bike is a size small than my road bike. But as you say, go with what's comfortable.0 -
Good morning.
Today is fuzzy. Can't even be bothered having a pig feast.
Got to go to a open day at Boys school, going to combine it with a ride, I can swing off the road and up into one of my local jaunts through some trees and fields on the way back. should be cool.
The rest of the day til then is going to consist of planning the nights entertainment, the weekends play dates (yummy mummy perving) and drinking tea.fly like a mouse, run like a cushion be the small bookcase!0 -

Early spin class this morning got a good sweat on then the day went down hill as I had to fill my car up, then I got to work. drudgery. Tonight I am off into London for BEER - plus! Downside I probably am going to have to drive back to reading to get the train to London as Marlow to London trains take for ever to get there. Still should be in a pub by 6.45, not too bad.
Have spent the morning considering new skis for the winter....do I go for piste skis (narrow waist, dynamic turns etc) to replace my two season old planks or go for some fat waist powder jobs in the hope the season is as good in Canada as everyone is predicting. I know what I want but what do I need.....and I cant get both.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -

And the good lord (of cake) declared that there should be much awesomness and as such didn't bother HD with pesky phonecalls all the way round.
Good ride and I do like Cwm Carn, but you didn't suck as much as you say!Advocate of disc brakes.0 -
I've managed to hurt my achilles tendon at the gym as well. Stupid new shoes. BAH! I have an actual bruise on my ankle. I don't bruise very easily0
