Where to mount a computor sensor on wheel and forks?

So just got Cateye Enduro 8. I am not sure how high to put the sensor on my fork and wheel, its not clear in instructions. It says 5mm apart, but that is it.

I have length set at 214 for 700 x 28c tyres. Where is that measured?

Strange as assume changing height changes circumference and therefore accuracy, hence surprised its not clearer.

Any help appreciated.

the pickup rotates at the same speed as the wheel - it doesn't matter where you put it...
  • The sensor will measure the number of revolutions of the wheel, not the distance travelled by the attatchment on your wheel. So you can put the sensor anywhere along the length of the fork.Position the sensor on the front of the fork to prevent any potential for the sensor to jam in your spokes.
  • Of course. Very simple.

Thanks all. Good idea about front will move it tomorrow.
