I have narrowed my search down to these 6 bikes but don't know which to go for.
I will be using mainly on roads and on woodland tracks/river tow paths.
I want a bike that has some speed and will last but also handle slightly rougher terrian.
Please Help!!
Scott Sub 40
Specialized Sirrus
Kona Dew
Ridgeback Velocity
Globe Vienna
Dawes Discovery 201

I have been using a Globe Vienna 2 for about 2 months. I only do a short commute, but so far I like the bike. Comfy, not too heavy and it gets a bit of reaction because it looks a bit different Pedals slippy in the wet though.
I think I got a good deal too, £100 off from Evans.0 -
I've got a Kona Dew Plus - it's very nippy and can take the knocks. But Lancslad is right, test ride them all.0

My take is that the bikes you really bond with and enjoy riding, looking at, just owning, are those you buy with your heart not your head.
Look at them, ride them. You'll find the right one.0
