Incident between taxi and cyclist - what to do?

My wife was in a taxi near westminster bridge this morning when the taxi made contact with a cyclist. The driver and cyclist exchanged some heated words over a distance during which the cyclist said that his bike was damaged. The cyclist got ahead and took down the taxi number, but the taxi driver didn't seem to care much and carried on.
It was pretty unsettling for my wife, so she didn't say anything at the time. She a witness to something...she thinks....but isn't sure what to do as she's not even sure if the cyclist reported it...and if he did then what police station he contacted. This might be a normal exchange in london for all she knows (we're not londoners).
Any ideas on what she should do?

Did she get the registration of the taxi? If so, she should report it.0

She should definitely report it to police IMHO. It doesn't matter what station the cyclist might have gone to, if they reported it also then she could be a potentially very valuable witness to one party or the other.0

What should she report?
There was a no injury accident in which no parties exchanged details.
There isnothing to report to the police in those circumstances, unless there are other factors not included in the earlier postWant to know the Spen666 behind the posts?

If the cyclist advised the taxi driver of damage to his bike and the taxi driver kept going, I would have thought this would be considered as a "failing to stop" incident.

I'd report it._________________________________________________

If she knows the cab number (or even if not), it might be worth contacting the Public Carriage office that licenses black cabs in case the cyclist has gone to them as well as (instead of) the police?
