Apart from blasting the internals with WD40 / GT85 in case it's due to ingress of dirt, I'm afraid there's not a lot else that can be done to save them - there's some fairly fine 'hair springs' in there and once gone the whole thing is toast - try ebay for a replacement. Compare the internals of an STI with a Campagnolo or SRAM lever and it's hard to comprehend the need for it to be so darn complex - more parts = more chance to go wrong! FWIW there were a problem batch of 105 levers a year or two agoMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
