Bike Fit in Edinburgh

Was thinking about getting a bike fit at The Tri Centre in Edinburgh.
£35 for the fit with 2 drawings showing the right dimensions and positions for the type of riding you do.
Anyone used The Tri Centre or any other places close by that can be recommended?
Was to ensure I have the best fit on my current bike and may also be buying a Ribble Stealth and want to ensure I get the right spec and parts.
TIA

I've only ever heard good things about the Tri Centre. That's where I would go, if I were looking for a fitting session.

I thought they were ok but be aware it's a simple, formulaic fit where they take a few basic measurements and stick them into a piece of software. It's not like a pro fit where they look at everything including pedalling style, knee tracking, power etc.
Also, although it gave me some decent food for thought and confirmed my suspicion that I needed a smaller bike, the saddle height they gave me appeared to be wrong - it's 3cm higher than what I find comfortable.0 -
cheers MM for the insight. Do you think it would help me spec and size a Ribble bike - ie the frame size, stem length etc?Kev

It should certainly help a bit. Funnily enough it was the Tri Centre fit that helped me decide that my own Ribble was a bit big. Ribble's size guidance is not great IME.

Don't neglect the effect of seat tube angle when comparing frames. You've been warned.0 -
I found the info spot on for setting my bike up. I had problems with knee pain and the fit helped setting my bike up. PM me and I will send the drawings over to you and you can see if it is the sort of thing you are after.0

As another option, Dales in Glasgow do Specialized BG body fit sessions. Think it's about 100 quid. Probably best for those that already have their bike and have some specific issues.0

cheers guys, will have to think about what I want to do. Got some time as I probably won't get a new bike until the new year and I'm comfortable enough on my existing bike just now.
cheers for the offer of seeing the drawing Stellite, will PM youKev

I know it is not perfect and that a formal fitting session would be better. I used this when I first started cycling and found it a good starting point.

My club run pro style fitting sessions that reportedly take about an hour to complete including video footage on a multi adjustment rig. I must have a go - slightly nervous in case it ends up encouraging me to spend lots to resolve an issue.
I lived in Edinburgh and although I did not use the Tri-Centre fitting service, I got my Cervelo from them and was extremely happy with the service and the staff - good people.0 -

The Bike Co-op also do BG fit. Never done it though, so please don't take this as some kind of recommendation!Bike lover and part-time cyclist.0
