Advice on fork choice

Currently riding a Felt Q series and have killed the front forks with some over ambitious riding on dartmoor ( drop looked small from a distance ). I would like some advice on what to put on the bike. I have read a lot on forums about longer travel forks putting too much stress on the frame. The frame has a head angle of 69 degrees with 100mm forks on it, would 130mm be dangerous to the frame and rider if so what would you recommend??
