Just thought i would say hi.
got a bike on the ride to work scheme, a fuji tahoe
wont be doing any serious mountain biking as none round here and i am unfit, but getting fitter.
I am realy enjoying getting out on my bike the main reason i got one was so i can go cycling with my four year old son. Have already got plans to upgrade my bike so advice will be gratefully received. Just bought a new rear tyre and can already see improvementin speed etc.
sorry to bore everyone , just off out on my bike. dave

p.s. just got a trek tag a long. will make me fit quicker or kill me off not sure which?

Hi to a fellow Leicestershire rider!

  • cheers Dave, yes some good hills in leicestershire. too good for me anyhow.
I am Yorkshire born and when i drive up the hills i used to cycle up as a lad, even i dont beleive it. let alone the mrs.
Just had a Hovis moment ! and using a sturmey archer 3 speed.......
If my maths are correct my bike has 27 gears, only use a few.

    thanks , dave

Lol! I remember my old Raleigh Commando and then my Grifter!

How did we ever manage with just 3 gears!

Have to admit i get full use out of all my gears on a day out, especially the granny wheel when attacking the hills although 'attacking' is probably the wrong word, more like resisting the pull of gravity that would pull me over if i went any slower!!

Give you a few weeks and you'll be clipping yourself into your pedals!!
