Help please, looks like my stolen bike on Ebay

Hello, forgive me for asking but I'm not too sure of the best way to proceed.
I'm hoping somebody can help me and post a question on Ebay for item number 280573683744. It is a large Kona Jake. Looks like the one I had pinched 6 weeks ago. I changed the stem, seatpost, tyres and pedals. I also fitted a rack and mudguards. All of these parts have been changed on this bike and look the same as the parts I fitted. Yet the spec in the listing is standard.
Strange bit is the seller is saying he has lost the receipt but has a Checkmend certificate that proves it is not stolen.
I'd like to see better pictures and the details on the certificate, for some reason I think it would be better if the questions didn't come from me, especially as the last item I bought was a replacement bike.
I've informed the police but need to talk to them in office hours, if I can get more information it would help.
I'm trying to resist the temptation to go myself with my largest and meanest friends.

Success!!!! Thanks to someone for getting me some more info. Pestered the police no end and I now have my bike back. Many thanks to the Mets finest this time. The bloke with the bike claims he bought it at Wimbledon Market and nothing could be proved, not surprising really, but I got my bike back. Now to put a minefield round my garden.0

Quality, after all the posts we usually see regarding the Police's lack of interest it's good to see a result on this one.
A kindly officer didn't let slip the guys address as well did he?0 -

I had to chase them up a few times and managed to get hold of the superintendents name which got their attention. Worth it for the result though.0

I am prone to talking at great length, but my post count should be in single figures. No idea how that happened.0
