Must. Not. Complain.
BUT, it has now been almost 5 weeks since my last proper ride, thanks to a pinched nerve in my neck which makes sitting on a bike near impossible. Tried yesterday in desperation, after dosing up on NSAID's and managed almost one whole kilometre on flat road in 39*19 gear before I had to turn round and go home, to spend the rest of the day sulking in a dark room.
Am assured by all that it will get better, just no clue when. Have tried physiotherapy, chiropractor, osteopath, acupuncture, massage, and all manner of drugs, none of which has really helped. Next up, voodoo perhaps?
Good thing there's a law against semi-automatic weapons ownership, or all those happy people out riding around yesterday in lovely sunshine waving cheerily as they sailed past me would have been toast!!!
Anyone recommend some good strategy for how to handle enforced layoff from riding?

Hmm, my SO might suggest that a more appropriate verb in that sentence would be "continue" rather than "start", but no matter... I shall re-double my efforts. Bartender! Double that double, hold the ice!Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0 -
