well needed new dust seals/clean/fresh oil

once i dropped the lowers, noticed there were no foam rings? ( all service manuals say to install one) but the gap was about 5 mm, and no ring, or bits of the ring in the oil?

also the bushings were held down by a semi circle spring clip, that slotted into a groove in the lower, about 5 mm below a fitted dust seal

no service manuals show this?

there is no 2008 tora race, the team/race nomenclature came in with the '09 forks.

    Which model?

was it a fork that came on the bike? or an OE purchase?

if yes then it does not surprise me.

The Tora Race started in 2009 and used a bit of a weird lower leg system - old Reba legs, but cheaper sleeved bushings. I have not seen a manual for these.
