Hi Guys

I am a 42 year old unfit male, I have recently spent 9 months in and out of hospital.

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia ( makes muscles sore - stiff and hurt all of the time) & chronic fatuige syndrome

I have been riding for 3 miles every couple of days at about 10 mph but now need to try and get fitter

Any advice on how often i should ride and what sort of increses i should be looking for and over what period of time. plus any other advice apart from get a new body

Thanks

Martin

Take your time, and listen to your body.
Make sure you have plenty of rest days and make sure you eat well. (all common-sense really!)
Its not really possible to set out an exact plan because you have got to work with your bodys 'issues'.

I have a fatigue problem connected to an auto immune issue and I know it takes longer to get fit than it does a 'normal' person, but sticking with it and ensuring you keep plenty of fuel in the tank as you will probably be more prone to 'the dreaded bonk'. (always have a bar of chocolate in your bag just in case!)

    Good luck!
