What is the hose length like out the box? How generic is it and does it normally need adjusrment?
Also, are they bled and good to go?

Very long, they don't skimp on hose. Not sure about retail but oem doesn't come with barb and olive required to shorten.

My OEM Merlin juicy 7 came with the barb and olive and a long hose. They were well bled too.

Juicy 3 also from Merlin, had to get a bleed kit for the bits but they worked well once sorted. The original bleed had the lever straight back to the bars

they can come in a few different lengths. it depends on what was ordered. the bled if fine.

Come to think of it I probably got my barb and olive from the bleed kit.
They didn't really need bleeding though, even after cutting.
