Spent last weekend in Wales, my bike was really wet and gritty when I got back. Gave it a quick wash and lube before I put it back in the shed.

Should have spent some proper time cleaning it as it ride like a bag of nails today as I obviously didn't get all the grit out.

Sometimes it pays to put a bit of extra effort in when you get back, so that you don't have problems next time you ride.

Yeah done that before, ended up costing me a whole new BB.

Lesson learnt, I get the missus to clean the bike, as she should do anyway.

Buy a dirtworker and give your bike a wash at the finish of every ride. Problem solved!

This is exactly what I do at the side of the road/trail centre carpark/on the grass verge at the end of rides during the winter months - it has proved invaluable!

Problem is, if you're properly lazy filling these up with water and washing the bike becomes too much effort too!!

Can't decide if I'm lazy or just fooling myself that my bike REALLY suits being dirty!
