Looks lovely in the bare matt carbon.
Did you buy the frame and fork only or the bike whole?
Love to see some high res pics.0 -
very nice! had plans to build one very similar with dura ace groupo/wheels0

I bought the full bike but swapped the ultegra with the dura ace that i had on the other bike, a focus, as the canyon frame was a little lighter. the ksyriums went on the other bike too. The bike was about £1800 which I think is pretty good considering the standard of wheels and finishing kit.
The canyon is currently off the road at the moment as Im awaiting for a longer replacement stem and seat post (the bike shipped with a 90mm stem and a 300mm seatpost, in my opinion a little small for a 54 bike) but hopefully its winging its way to me as i type.
yeah much prefer the raw carbon look and its lighter too so all good there. I will try to get some higher res pics up this weekend.0 -

Are they charging you to replace these parts? Did you complete the online size guide?
I have a 56cm with a 100mm stem. The height of the steerer was spot on as well. I thought they must take to size guide info and size the fork and stem length accordingly. Have to say though when i first completed the size guide it came up as I needed a 54cm but I knew with the top tube length I wanted a 56cm. What size Focus do you have?0 -
Minimal 8)

yeah theyre swapping the parts though they charge 20 Euro per part. I did do the sizing guide, though it seemed that the inseam was really the only dimension that affected the sizing, unless you submitted ridiculous measurements. The frame is definitely the right size, both from the sizing guide and also previous experience. Im over the handlebars a little too much and as I have my legs quite straight when pedalling the seat post was 10mm too short. One other thing was that the cranks were 170mm but I was selling them anyway.
The Focus is a 54 and its an izalco. From memory I think the top tube is about 3mm longer than the canyon but its very similar in geometry
I have previously bought two other bikes both 54 frames both with 100mm stems, 42cm bars (the bars on the Canyon was 40cm but I actually prefer them) , 172.5 cranks so I guess i thought it odd that everything was smaller on this bike even though the tube tube is the shortest out of the three. anyway that aside its a great frame so all good!0
