Commencal Downhill Supreme

Guys,
I'm coming back into Downhill after a few years in MX.
I haven't decided whether I want to compete or not yet but for now I'm looking to try and hit as many Downhill trails as possible. My local is Aston Hill and I'm now on the lookout for an end of season bargain.
As I've been out the loop I'm not sure what's hot and what's not bike wise. I have a budget of about 3k but if I can come well under that then I'm happy.
I've looked at the Commencal Supreme Downhill bike. For UK based Downhill circuits is it going to be up to the job? Good bike out the box for downhill?
cheers.
