hi all , Any guys do the 60 or 100 mile blenheim sportive last Sunday in the rain and wind?

    I rolled up ready to do the 100, and was setting the bike up after extracting it from the car boot and the seat post clamp failed, leaving me with the option of doing a century with my knees higher than my eyeballs, or packing up and going home. Gutted. Drove home in damp togs and a grumpy mood.

    Still gutted, even more gutted yesterday when the email with the results link arrived.

    yeah, I did the 60 and despite the wind & rain enjoyed it.
    In fact the family and friends we dragged along had a great time as well - a geat littleTT & obstacle course set up for the kids.
    I managed the sportive in just under 4 hours which I was more than happy with given the day & conditions.

    Look forward to next year :-)

    it was my first one and couldn't belive the weather, but i really loved it an cant wait for next year with the sun thou.
