Avid Elixir 5 reach adjustment

Hi,

I have read the manual but i am still stumped. I have loosened the reach and set it further out but it clicks back into a closer position once tightened?

Any thoughts, suggestions most welcome.

    So you're twisting the knob at the top of the lever that's tucked right away?

    according to the manual there are two reach adjusters. which are you using?

    and nothing should "click" back unless you have disconnected one of the adjusting bolts.
