Regent's canal

Hi all
Does anyone else use this? I've recently started riding from my work at King's X to Marylebone via the canal (towpath, natch) and was wondering if anyone else has used it in winter / the dark, and what it's like - am a little wary of being somewhere so isolated in the dark / cold but the alternative - the Euston/Marylebone road - is SOOOOOO horrible...
Thanks in advance

It's just a hill. Get over it.

I used the other end, Pitfield Street to Leytonstone past the Olympic Park. I stopped using because the speeding cyclists peed me off, despite British Waterways putting up "Be Polite" signs.
It's fine to use, there was a spate of hoodies attacking cyclists a while ago, and you'd often see twats on mino motos near Vicky Park.0 -

Now that's worrying, hope you're joking
Assume I'll need F.O. big lights in winter to avoid falling in the drink?

ewww, gross, that's put me right off
Mind you, the alternative is horrendous traffic in the dark and more traffic lights than is strictly safe for one's sanity... :?
