What is the procedure for reporting a dodgy sale?

GordonHGordonH Posts: 58

I've recently bought a Cateye double wireless computer from one of the members of bike radar. The item was described as having been fitted to the bike but never used. When the item arrived, I discovered that it was missing the bracket band and bracket, both of which are needed to attach the computer to the bike. The seller claims that "as far as he knows, the only items missing were some cable ties". I can obtain the missing parts on the net, but the point is that this person sold some kit that was not fit for purpose in that it could not be used. I feel that other members should be warned about trading with him.

I'm in favour of a "name and shame" policy... not sure what the admins will say though.

I have taken your advice and have posted a feedback in the Classifieds, although I am strogly tempted to "name and shame" in the general forum.

Do not. Name and shame in the feedback forum only.
