I would build my self esteem by spending 10k on top class hookers. Then wallow in a sea of self pitty for a week and buy an Apollo.

If someone gave me 10k and said you must spend it all ona custom bike, Brewster's Millions style, no problem!

Two 5k bikes in different colours to match what I wanted to wear.
Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.

Never going to be a problem spending that kind of money. I'm sure there are frames out there close to that. Add in a custom paint job and top end components I'd probably run out of money and have to put a set of plastic pedals on out of my random pedal bag!!
Current steed is a '07 Carrera Banshee X

Pinarello Prince, Di2 with SRM cranks, Reynolds RZRs.

Actually that's significantly over £10k, better up that budget...

I'd buy something very carbony, with full sram xx, with more carbon bits on it, and with a nice fork, some more carbon, a smattering of titanium and then for good measure I'd get it custom sprayed for me to be properly unique!

I like this - I'll have one. But it appears to need 3 tyres........extreme trike action?!

I'd change that cassette choice, the scandium sprockets have a habit of snapping under XC whippets, not sure about them on a DH bike!

A very quick tot-up of what I'd do on an MTB comes out at under £8000, so I reckon I'd struggle!

    Top Fuel 9.9
    SID World Cup
    XTR cranks, single ring
    XX elsewhere
    Innolite XCC250/Tune Prince/Princess wheels
    Nice carbon finishing kit

It's certainly easier to spend that sort of money on a road bike.

Sorry if you were just joking... But he listed three sets of tyres to cope with different conditions.
