Thanks

+1 for the Woolie Boolie - they're great. Everytime I see them on sale somewhere I buy some more. Well worth the money.

I wore Woolie Boolies all last winter without overshoes and was fine. Excellent socks and ley appear to last forever.

Forgot to add for the last 3 winters I've had some really thick endura socks. Just retrieved them from the bottom of the cupboard in preparation for some colder weather. Didn't even need overshoes until it got down to -5

    Endura Thermolite Socks From £5.99!

i have virtually all types of Winter socks as my feet really suffer, finally settled on Assos Winter Socks, twice as warm as Woolie Boolies and about the same price.

Even they didn't sort the problem, so this year have gone for some Sidi Goretex winter boots, hopefully that should sort it.
  • The Prendas Winter Thermolites are very good and reasonably priced:

£8?? I could buy a bike for that! (actually seen one in good condition for a tenner!) Would have bought it but too large a frame. Was a raleigh road bike.

Furk pissin about with socks just bung some overshoes on, don't need washing every ride, keep the rain out and stop your shoes from getting ruined.

Also provide windproof layer which causes most of the chill and can be picked up for less than two pairs of socks.
