Will this:

and/or this:

fit on my Trek6000, which has an internal BB, but once again I have run out of further information. I don't see what hold them in place, but there again, I have never taken apart my BB.
Sorry for these questions, I will eventually know these things I guess.

No, you need an external BB to hold them in place is your frame doesn't have ISCG tabs.
[Admin] Please get your facts right. Thanks[/Admin]0 -
So if I want any kind of chain guide I also need a new BB?0

both of them will work fine with your standard internal BB. (as long as you get the BB mount version).
the flange on the drive side holds in in place."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Oh, well that makes it easier. I was begining to despair looking at all the BBs and not understanding how everything fit together.
Thanks Nick0 -
remember you will need tools to pull off the crank arms and to remove and refit the BB.
See Parktools site for more infos."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I was going to be really cheeky and just take the bits to my LBS and get them to do it. If it isn't too difficult it might be worth me getting the tools so I can do this sort of thing in the future. Anything with baring in scares me a bit.0
