Morning gang

Off to work, day 2, can't wait until the weekend, well Sunday and I can hit the trails and mee a whole bunch of new people this week. Until then then its nose to the grind.

Yesterday I decided to jon another forum, so now I am a fully paid up member of The Archers Addicts, its ok, but not bike radar, I don't think anyone has been left head snapped back in a ditch in Ambridge! Although on a related note, as I'm playing catch up at the mo and missed a few episodes, does anyone know why Kenton was arrested? I won't be holding my breath

Back to bikes my new Superstar seat qr clamp arrived yesterda and its feckng huge, which is sweet as it works fantastically

anyway time to go catch you dufuses later
Mountain biking is like sex.......more fun when someone else is getting hurt

  • Morning Gang... trust you are all fine and dandy on this cold morning!!!!

Another day of meh I expect, although I am going through a 'I love my job' phase at the moment... yes I know, WTF!!? Although something will happen today that will change this no doubt......

Am thinking about purchasing some of those stupidly light (and pimp) carbon/Ti skewers from Superstar (I have been very impressed with all of their other wares) as I now want red QRs (he says after paying £40+ for blue KCNC ones) so......

Is that the Garmin or the Wife? Fnar fnar...

Good Morning Freaks. Commuted in today, but still feeling crap. Blood sugar levels are still a touch on the high side, so I know something's not right. :? On the plus side though, it means I can go longer without eating and should hopefully lose a pound or two in weight.

That said, I can hear a bacon sandwich calling me...

Will be fettling the Coiler in readyness for Sunday's fun and frivolity this evening and packing stuffs into the Cakemobile. Apart from that, sat in the office with bucket loads of meh to deal with...

Morning all. Was sorely tempted to go out again last night because mountain biking is so fecking brilliant but I forced myself to stay in and do some lightweight fettling. The family were mildy irritated by me monging around the house :)

    Have a good one.

    Morning all,

Feeling a bit hungover today, birthday frivolities and all. Today shall be spent fettling with the bike, trying to sort the rear mech out it's not quite perfect. I think it's the goodridge cables at fault, it couldn't possibly be me!

Hit the gym this mornign for a 7am spinning group - it was packed and 45 mins of heavy sweating was good - flushed the 6 pints of real ale I had last night out of me anyway.

Slow drive to work caused by a lorry's spectacular failure on the dual carriageway. bits of its underside were liberally scattered ont he road behind it.

chuntering on witht he work but its pretty dull. Stop talking about new bike bits. I cant afford any. Saving for new skis.

    Is it 5 yet?

  • Good morning. Just chilling out today. May buy some shorts that are on sale at the LBS and check out front tyres. Looks like the weather is getting better for a bit. I'll hit the trials again tomorrow which may be slightly drier. Or maybe just more sticky.

Today is feckin meh big time.

The inert sebaceous cyst on my neck is infected which is why it's suddenly painful and huge. Been told to rest and given 2 different anti b's that will make me drousy, vomit, 'loose' or an interesting combination of the three. Advised to rest and no driving. MS&G Sunday is at risk
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Is that up to 8 stone or down to 8 stone?

The only time I see 8 stone when I step on the scales is as the needle shoots round the scale and then again when I step off :)

Takeaway-tastic! Had a couple of slices of Dominos Meateor the other night it was orsum.
  • Afternoon all,

This morning’s ride in was rather chilly. It’s at that awkward stage where the morning ride is cold but the ride home is still ok, so clothing is a compromise.

Was off yesterday to take the wife to the dentist. It was referral from her usual dentist and we were told at the time that the cost would be £46.50. As we left her dentist they charged us the £46.50, few weeks later (yesterday) we turn up at other dentist with receipt in hand only to be told that we were supposed to pay them, not the original dentist. After various phonecalls back and forth, including the original dentist 1st saying that we hadn’t paid them and then saying that the money we had paid was for work they did (they did none) we had to leave with nothing having been done. (We were told there would be a £30 cancellation fee, but the new dentist didn’t charge us this as they agreed the 1st lot were at fault). What a waste of a day. Finished off nicely by nearly having a fight with a (drunk) neighbour over parking.

Might go and see that new Michael J Fox film tonight, looks quite good.

    Is it 5 yet?
