2011 Recons?

Anyone seen the new Rockshox Recons? Merlin have them for £125 as do another e-bay shop, are these worth a punt? Look pretty decent, would be for a new frame. 100mm travel as required, however they seem to be pretty basic in terms of what they offer, but for a coil fork that costs less than a Tora it's gotta be worth a bash? Is this Rockshox's new Tora, although I thought that was the Sektor.

Interested to hear if anyones had a shot of one of these although I doubt it at the moment as theyre just out.

do you mean the recon silver tk on merlin? if so i have a pair on my commuter. i haven't hammered them properly and only taken them on 1 off road ride but they seem to perform fine

Yeah, they're the ones. Feel pretty good, yeah? Do you use them locked out or just normal?

my commute that i do is mainly road, with 2 sections of nice off road singletrack

i lock them out mainly but obviously take it off when i hit the singletrack. i've had toras in the past and they're on a par with my old tora's, but no where near as plush as my pikes.

but in general, yeah, they're great forks for the money and they look nice

Ideal, thanks very much was struggling to find any reviews or anything on them. You're right they do look pretty nice, the're looking better by the minute

The Recon TK is the same as the 2010 Tora Race, but with a turnkey damper instead of motion control.

Are there any official reviews about Sonic, internet or magazines, any idea?

Not seen any reviews yet, but going on the older models you won't find a better fork for the price.
