Fork advice

I've got a broken Boardman Team Carbon that I would like to build back up for use on a turbo trainer over the winter. The forks were destroyed in a crash and the headset was dumped on the road somewhere. I'm looking for a replacement fork and headset, but don't really know what to go for.
I don't imagine it'll ever go back on the road because there's a bit of damage to the frame at the bottom of the head tube where it joins the err... sloping tube. Not sure whether it's totally dead, but wouldn't fancy it on the road just in case the frame snapped.
Any advice would be appreciated.

how about a length of ali or steel tube, get a cheap/old stem to use as a clamp below the headtube, ram some rope or wood strips into the headtube to pack it out, fit stem+bars to the top of tube
ideally you'd want 1 1/8" tube but if it was a bit smaller you could use a shim to get the stems to fit
otherwise try lbs for and old stem+headset, or keep an eye on ebay
BUT... it could be quite nasty if the frame snapped on the turbo, you'd not be going fast, but you still risk hitting the deck face firstmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
