Unlocking mobile phones

I have a Nokia N78 from Vodaphone - just upgraded to a new phone and want to unlock my old one to use it with my Rogers sim card in Canada over winter.

I have previously been to one of these back street shops to unlock a phone and that was fine - just wondered if anyone knew of a good safe reliable website I could also use?

A lot of the ones I looked at just now looked like they would be downloading every trojan and virus under the sun onto my PC if I clicked on them!

If you are concerned about dodgy types then why not just ask Vodafone to unlock it for you? I have no idea if they charge for this or not. Some operators do, some don't.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

I was thinking that - I have been with them since 96 I think they owe me some sort of favour!

Got myself a new Sony Erikson Elm which I am picking up at the weekend - anyone used one? Any good?

If it's out of contract then the network normally only charge you a small admin fee of around £5 to unlock most do it fee. If it's still within contract then they will charge a lot more.
