I've recently acquired the Technoline BL 700 from the same place. Well worth the extra IMO. It will tell you what condition your batteries are in, can recondition them, has various rates of charging, and most importantly treats each cell independently (hence the 4 LCD displays) So you can charge 1, 2, 3 or 4 cells at a time, or you can charge one, test another, recondition a third etc all at the same time. Astounding little gadget.

Cheapest batteries I have found to be from Vapextech; I can be out for hours with my Fenix L2D and 2 sets of their 2900 mAh AA's. They also do an own brand version of the Hybrio type that don't self discharge.

    +1

it is a staple choice on here, and good value.

Exactly as the above says on batteries. Buy Vapotex 2900 for your lights that are being charged regularly - i.e. front ones.
Buy the hybrids for the rear red light that needs to hold the charge over weeks.

Those Hybrid batteries supposedly hold their charge better- which is great- but standard
NiMH batteries are cheaper and have a higher capacity

When I was doing battery front lights I had two sets of NiMH and kept one on charge and used the other

I've got hybrio's in the rear cateye TL1100 which I have on flashing and only need recharging after a month or so. Standard 2900 NiMh for the front; 2 in the light and 2 in back pocket, the used ones recharged after every ride.

The hybrio types are good for the camera; with the others I always found them flat as a pancake when I needed to take a picture urgently

ENELOOP or similar low discharge NIMH cells are great for things that draw not much power, remote controls, LED lights (may be 2-3 weeks before you use them)
