    i ought to make up a good reason, but the simple answer is its what LBS use when they build bikes, i dont do the build myself :oops: ( i can do most things but dont touch headsets or BB's i never have)
  • I asked because all drivetrain is XTR and why not use XTR chain with SRAM PowerLink for example.

    habit i guess, always used sram chains, work faultlessly with shimano so no issues.
    having said that i am having another bike built up with 10 speed XTR and am having the XT chain on that
