Holy Jeminy crickets i'm in love. I wanna know how much it was to build, cause I want one, but that's the same reason I don't want to know how much it was haha.0

Fantastic looking bike, huge spec, and I'm guessing huge price tag
Really makes me want to sell mine and start a custom build ! (or just buy one like this )2010 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon
2014 De Rosa R848
Carrera TDF Ltd Commuter0 -
Yes... guys you are right about it not being cheap! The reason it took me 3 months to collect all the parts, was because I bought everything online. We get severely ripped hear in Australia! I ended up saving 35% from retail. I have been flogging my 10 year old hardtail which is close to falling apart, so I thought I’d try somthing a little different! Can’t wait to take it out....0

nice bike but imo the tyres and stem just look wrong, tyres are mahhooosive for that frame and the stem looks wayy too long, but it still looks great0

The stem is perfect for me. I had a demo bike before I took the plunge. Coming from a XC hardtail, 100mm felt good. The front tire is HUGE. It’s deceiving though, as the width is spot on 2.4 but there is just so much volume to the tyre. It’s pretty overwhelming with tyre choices, so I’ll see how it goes.0 -
I don't think the tyres look too big. The stem does look too long though. The saddle position needs sorted. And you need a Kashima coated shock.
Lovely build 8)0 -
sweet as fook mate............... them 2.4 rubber queens are massive man, i bought a pair and have had them sat in the cupboard ever since, way too big !!!0

Thats a very nice bike you got there. I had planned on building a standard Blur LT(2) last year but ended up not being able to get finance on the frame until i'd paid off some bits i bought in the summer.0

That looks and probably rides amazing! one of the nicest builds iv seen!
though i would suggest that a lay back post to compensate for a shorter (say, 60-70mm?) would be a good idea, as you would retain the reach, but improve the handling vastly.
BTW, the tyres look fine, and, personally BIG tyres are the way forward... so I wouldn't worry.I like bikes and stuff0 -
These people are all wrong, the only thing you need to do to your bike to make it right, is give it to me. I'll probably put a shorter stem on it.
Looks really nice.0 -
I’ve been riding this bike for a few weeks now and I get the logic behind the shorter stem. On the faster downhill corners I have too much weight over the front which feels like it’s pushing the front out, especially with my seat position higher than ideal for descents. Ordered a 70mm stem today, we’ll see how that goes.
Apart from that, the bike is fantastic, unlike my fitness!
Thanks for all your comments and feedback.0 -
Be interested to find out how you get on with the stem. I am currently running a 90mm thomson on my LTc and am looking at dropping to something a little shorter.0

nice bike - like the chainset - who is that by?
is the rear shockthe right length and fitted correctly? Bikes that I have seen using that kind of suspension system have the shock in line with the swing arm; here is a spesh s-works showing what I mean.

and a cnanondale (I could popst a phjoto of gary fisher hifi but not necessary)
it looks wrong to me but it is probabluy right as I cannot see what you can do about it.

O2GF74 -> are you for real?

Imagine a frame designer coming up with something different, perish the thought
denno201 -> nice bike there and ultra bling, just remember the first rule of bike Radar is that if a stem is over 70mm then it's too long regardless of whether it makes your bike handle crap, does't ft you or is just plain wrong0 -

had the 70mm stem for a few months now and it's grown on me. Felt a little direct at first but I do notice the difference on the faster corner... more control
Cheers for the advise0
