Me and the missus are off to Edinburgh for a few days. She wants to see the castle and Camera Obscura and some tunnel thing to do with body snatchers?
Anyone got any good things to see/do?

Someone else's ginger missus?
Haha, first class
On a more serious note Andy, the Edinburgh dungeons aren't too bad, but the castles obviously better. Send your misses to the duneons and get a taxi to Morningside to the Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative and squander some money? Sounds like a plan0 -
do one of the ghost walk things at night from the royal mile!
They take you into the tunnels under the high street....St Mary's Close.....proper spooky!
Dynamic Earth is worth a visit..depending on what is on.
A meal in the whisky society is good.....usually includes loads of whisky tasting...stuff that you can't buy.
Out of town...Roslyn Chapel is worth a visit...explore the glen to find the old gunpowder mill...
The Museum at the top of chambers street is good....
Also....there are some really good literary tours (basically a pub crawl with some interesting chat about the various authors who frequented the drinking holes).....
Try and enjoy some of the very late night and even early morning drinking.....some pubs open at 5am....but don't worry.....there are some italian restaurants which are open in the time between the bars closing at 3, then opening again at 5!
And avoid ed bikes......alpine bikes in stockbridge is better!Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

Hmm, can't say I've been in the Edinburgh Alpine Bikes but I was less than impressed with the one in Glasgow to say the least, is it any better do you know? Just a lack of bikes!0 -

Don't bother with the bus tours...
The Scott Monument gave some pretty good views and its only like £3 to get in... very tight stairs though so don't do it if its busy!
Camera Obscura was quite fun but doesn't really take long to get around.
Make sure you see the 1 o clock gun at the Castle. There is a lot to see here so take sw's!
We wanted to do the dungeons but didn't have time...
