Bikes for Touring

Hey Guys,

Im looking at getting a bike for touring next year, but would also like to use it day to day for commuting.

Ive heard the Specialized Cyclocross mentioned as an option - I was just wondering what peoples thoughts on this are, or wether there were any other good options?
