Hi Guys,

I have just seen this bike for sale. It doesn't have much information about it, but I can go and see it. It is at an auction.

It is a Scott Nitrous. What are the general views on this bike?

I have included a picture of it.

Can anybody tell me the model and the year?

When I go too see it is there anything I should look for?

Finally, what do these tend to go for?

Thanks

You can't tell the frame size by the pic, also what do you intend to use it for ?? if FR or DH then fine, as to value for money you will need to post the full spec and cond, though looking at the pic it does not look that well looked after. To give you an idea their is another on ebay with Boxxers, and a decent spec that looks as if it has been well looked after for £800...so the one your looking at has to be considerably less !

A quick guess from the photo, the bike looks rather large. It might be an XL frame size. The bike does look battered to be fair, though it is hard to tell from the picture. The half covered seat would lead me to think that this bike hasn't been looked after and that if something as simple as a seat is in such a poor condition, what is the rest of the bike like.

Unless the bike is going really cheap (less than a good night out) and has a sound frame and rear shock on it, I'd look else where

Looks like about a 20" frame to me, so L or XL, as has been said, if that's the state of the saddle, what about the rest!

  • Well thanks too your advice I gave it a miss.

I did get a few bargains though (Well I think I did):

Carerra Subway (Looks to be in good condition/very good). £40
GT Chukcker 2.0 (Looks good/ OK condition). £100

    Did I get good buys?
