    Thanks. 4 summit finishes certainly favours the climbers, a change from the last two editions. Two TTs, a prologue and a longer one too.

    Do you know when the Giro route comes out. I might try and time a holiday with it.

    RCS don't really have a set date for releasing the Giro route but it's usually sometime around the end of November/early December.

    The Zoncolan and other big climbs look to be on the menu for the Giro, the unpaved Finestre too. And since I've strayed into other races, there's also talk of the Tour of Poland starting in Italy. Also the Giro looks unlikely to go to Washington DC after the mayor trying to arrange the stunt was voted out of office:

    Good news, I can't help feeling that this year's running deliberately sought out the flatest roads in what most people think of as a mountainous country.

    Any race needs to work on its popularity at home, and if you can tailor the course to ensure a home win for Cancellara, then why not?
