Still, a good result, apart from the broken light. Try a Magicshine Mj818.
This was after over 6 months of use I should add ;-). In my experience after this period of time resellers will only refund if item is actually proven faulty and cannot be fixed or replaced, which they usually can only verify by returning to the manufacturer.
Only issue with the magicshine is the separate battery pack and cabling. This was one of the reasons I ditched the Dinottes in favour of the flash/flare combo - much quicker to take off the bike and carry around with you.
If you want a bright small front and rear light combo for commuting with self contained battery check out the Mask and Shield lights from Moon (weird name I know). Built in Lipo USB rechargeable batteries and they are decently bright be-seen lights even in daylight.

Been using these for a while now and they are very good and not overly expensive.0 -

i wouldnt go for the magicshine i had two replacements in two months of that rear light, the contstant twisting to get it in flashing mode, rub through the wires, in the end I had a full refund, I am looking at the dinottes now for the winter, at least they have a one of switch and are a hell of a lot brighterSorry its not me it's the bike ;o)

Finding a reliable rear light that works well in wet conditions does seem pretty tricky. I've had a few Smart 1/2 Watt LEDs but have grown disillusioned with them as they allow the water in and stop working. Not sure what to go for now, as I was looking at the Flare, but that doesn't seem to be more reliable and is considerably more expensive.0

I removed the spring from beneath the battery and stretched it out to make it taller. This seems to have done the trick as the light is pretty stable in one mode or the other and doesn't jump from flashing to constant by itself anymore.
It's bot perfect as you can still make it change by giving it a real whack.
Much happier with it now :-)0 -
Highly recommended - very light, battery lasts for plenty of time (i've got the Exposure dual charger and 2x rechargable batteries, both Exposure ones, so it's never a problem). I haven't had any problems at all with it, and it's very bright.
I use it in combo wtih 2 other Exposure redeye's (1 on helmet, 1 on seatpost), so I should be fairly brightly lit up!0 -
I bought these batteries for use on my flash/flare but they don't work:

They are fully charged (according to my Exposure charger and my battery tester).
The lights work fine with the Exposure branded batteries.
Any ideas why?0 -
Those with the mode switching issue, ring Exposure support and ask them to send a new stiffer spring kit. It instantly fixes the issue for good.
